The days after his arrest from Hyderabad Sushant Singh Rajput's friend and flatmate Siddharth Pithani, held under 14-day court custody for an on-going drugs investigation launched by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the murder of Sushant Singh Rajput on 14 June last year.
Sushant Singh Rajput's roommate Siddharth Pithani was arrested from Hyderabad on May 26 by the NCB Mumbai unit in a drug case and transported by a transit order issued from a local court in Mumbai. Pithani has been booked under many sections of the NDPS Act, 1985.
According to reports, it was previously expected that NCB would not seek an extension of the Pithani detention.
Previously, Pithani had been summoned by the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act), but he didn't join. The NCB Mumbai collected information regarding the locations of the suspects in Hyderabad.
Yesterday Sushant Singh Rajput's bodyguard was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). In the drug case associated with the actor's death, NCB even arrested a drug dealer called Harish Khan.
