
Today,
Universal Studios Japan made an exciting announcement that 'Super Nintendo
World' will open at its park in early 2021.
According
to the top officials, this area will be the world's first theme park area based
on Nintendo's characters and worlds. It will have major attractions,
restaurants, shops, and amazing fan-figures like Mario, Yoshi, and more.
No
information on the exact date of opening has been announced so far.
Universal
Studios Japan confirmed that their Guests could wear a special wristband,
called a 'Power Up Band.' At the same time, they enjoy at the Super Nintendo
World and will allow parkgoers to jump, hit blocks, collect virtual coins and
items, and more.
Adding
more information about the Nintendo-themed area, the Japenese theme park
confirmed that this park would be the world's first Mario Cafe & Store will
open in the park's Hollywood section. That one is expected to open on October
16th. It will have Super Mario pancake sandwiches and a Super Mushroom souvenir
bottle as well.
Next
to the cafe, Nintendo merchandise will be sold, including shirts, pouches,
smartphone cases, key chains, and more.
Super
Nintendo World was expected to come to the Universal Orlando Resort's upcoming
theme park, Epic Universe. But then things got delayed due to the ongoing
coronavirus pandemic.
