Snow fell in most parts of North Texas with some areas getting a lot more than others.

Stephenville in Erath County saw more than 6 inches of snow. It’s the most in years. Denton and Collin Counties settled for just a dusting.

Some families reported that Sunday’s weather was a great way to end the weekend. Children enjoyed and build a snowman.

Grayson Hughes, 7-year-old said, "I was waiting for it."

Grayson and his 5-year-old brother, Mack, enjoyed snow that fell outside their Burleson home on Sunday.

Everyone feels like a kid especially when there is a snowfall.

James Howell and Aaliyah Ogden said, "It’s our first time building a snowman. Yeah, especially as a family. Yeah, she loved it."

Howell and Ogden said for the first time, their daughter felt snow. The transplants didn’t think they’d get this opportunity.

"We’re from Florida, where there’s no snow. So coming to Texas, it’s exciting," they said.

Those living in South Dallas took the opportunity to go outside to enjoy the snow too. About an inch accumulated there but it didn’t stick around for long.

Lacresha Walker called it a perfect post-Christmas snow day.

She added, "I am thankful she got to see it because I didn’t think it was happening. They call me negative Nancy because I did not think they were going to be able to build a snowman."
