Following the release of the teaser for Jersey, actor Shahid Kapoor is basking in the adoration of his fans. On Saturday, the actor went live on Instagram to address questions from fans about the film, which is a Hindi version of a Telugu film of the same name. While Shahid is in the position in the remake, Nani was in the lead part in the original.
During the live stream, one of the viewers asked Shahid about filming the classic railway station scene from Gowtam Tinnanuri's film. Shahid described the encounter as "frightening" in response to the inquiry. Jersey, he continued, felt like a story that deserved to be presented to a Hindi audience as well. Shahid, who described himself as a fan of the original, stated that while he didn't want to do another remake after Kabir Singh, Jersey spoke to him, which is why he agreed to do it.
"I'm a big fan of the first film. Nani's performance was fantastic. I was adamant about not doing another remake. I was seeking a compelling, unique, and original story. This one was a keeper for me. It struck a chord with me. It's not easy to remake a film. There is a sense of obligation to preserve people's memories of the original. It's a lot more difficult. That was a story that deserved to get told. It inspired and taught me something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life," he remarked, disclosing that the film got shot in Chandigarh, with the cricket portion in Mohali.
