Actor Puneeth Rajkumar died today in a Bengaluru hospital after suffering a heart attack, shocking and grieving fans and colleagues. He was 46 years old at the time. The actor had a heart collapse while working out in a gym, and he got taken to Vikram Hospital in an "unresponsive" state. "I am shocked that Kannada celebrity ShriPuneeth Rajkumar died of a heart attack," Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai tweeted on Friday afternoon. Appu's death has been a loss to Kannada and Karnataka, and I pray that God would have mercy on his soul and give his followers the strength to bear this agony.
"Actor Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted to the hospital at 11:30 a.m. after having chest difficulty," the news agency ANI reported earlier today. We are doing everything we can to assist him.

"Shocking, awful, and painful," Chiranjeevi tweeted, while Lakshmi Manchu wrote, "This can't possibly be true! How is it possible?" Mahesh Babu described Puneeth Rajkumar as "one of the most humble guys I've met and talked with."
