Two Hindi pictures have got selected as India's entry ticket for the Oscars in 2022. 'Sherni,' starring Vidya Balan, and 'Sardar Udham,' starring Vicky Kaushal, have indeed been selected from different of 14 films to be forwarded as India's entry ticket for the 94th Academy Awards in the World's Best Feature Film field. This year, all films were made available on OTT.
The film 'Sherni,' created by Amit Masurkar, features VidyaBalan as a wildlife inspector attempting to reconcile man-animal disputes. Sharat Saxena, Mukul Chaddha, Vijay Raaz, IlaArun, Brijendra Kala, and NeerajKabi are the other actors in the movie. Incidentally, we previously questioned NeerajKabi for his response when 'Sherni' got announced as India's entry ticket for the Oscars, and he stated, "I understand we have invested in a huge amount of effort to make this movie. Let us sit and see what emerges from this passion project. I can't say whether it's Oscar-worthy or whether it'll get any accolades just yet."
Shoojit Sircar's film 'Sardar Udham' tells the narrative of revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh. Vicky Kaushal plays the title character in this historical drama, which got recently launched on OTT. This film is about Sardar Udham Singh's mission to avenge the deaths of those who got slaughtered in the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. On March 27, 2022, the ceremonial event will get placed in the legendary Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
