A North Texas secondary school needed to go on lockdown Friday morning after police said a gathering of students caused a frenzy.

It occurred at Royse City High School in Rockwall County, upper east of Dallas.

Police said a few students were utilizing airsoft or BB weapons nearby. It was essential for the tending online entertainment challenge called the Orbeez Challenge.

That prompted panic and lockdown.

"This occurred in the parking area before school, and no students were harmed. Alluded to as the Orbeez Challenge on TikTok, this is one more silly pattern that is disturbing the school climate, causing a strain on regulation implementation, and is bringing about real lawful consequences for students the country over," Royse City ISD said in a letter to guardians.

The school region said a few students involved were confined and would confront accurate results.
