North Texans wake up to ice and snow, bad cold temperatures

The sleet, ice, snow, and severe cold are nowhere in North Texas.

Individuals woke up Thursday morning to temperatures during the 20s or colder in certain areas. Yet, that was not the most terrible of it.

A few areas saw ice develop on trees and electrical cables, causing blackouts, even though the state guarantees this year won't be a rehash of a year ago.

A Winter Storm Warning remaining parts essentially for all of North Texas through 6 p.m.
