Most North Texas school districts have canceled in-person and virtual classes for the rest of the week.
Texas roads are covered in heavy snow and ice, many had expected schools to switch to virtual classes starting Wednesday or Thursday. But the rolling power outages forced them to cancel that too.
Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth, Allen, and Denton ISDs are among some of the schools closed until Monday.
Other districts are planning to decide about Friday after evaluating the condition of roads and power outages later in the day.
