Kemp ISD temporarily closes schools due to spike in COVID-19 cases

A little school District in Kaufman County is shutting for three days to clean grounds amid a spike in COVID-19 cases.

Kemp ISD will be shut Wednesday through Friday. It intends to return Monday.

The administrator portrays a fast and critical ascent in COVID-19 cases.

The area has around 1,600 students.

On Monday, it announced 37 COVID positive cases among students and staff.

The area says students won't be needed to make up the missed days.
