Kangana Ranaut is all set to resume shoot and is heading to the gym daily to prepare for her upcoming projects. The actress took to her social media handle and shared an update about her forthcoming political drama where she will play the character of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The actress said that she is going through body scans for the lead role at her production office about the preparations. She is pretty excited to get into the shoes of the former PM and wrote, "Every character is a beautiful beginning of a new journey, today we started the journey of #Emergency #Indira with the body, face scans, and casts to get the look right. Many amazing artists get together to bring one's vision alive on screen…. This one will be extraordinary, @manikarnikafilms".
She further added, "Body scans for the film Emergency, time to get into Madam Prime Minister Indira Gandhi Ji's skin."
Earlier, Kangana had shared that she will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an upcoming project, but it won't be a biopic. She said, "Yes, we are working on the project, and the script is in the final stages. It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi; it is a grand period film, to be precise a political drama that will help my generation understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India."
Under the direction of Sai Kabir, the film will be based on a book featuring Emergency and Operation Blue Star. While it will be co-produced by Kangana, it's said to star 'many prominent actors.'
