Frisco: Several roads shut down and homes evacuated because of a natural gas leak

A few roads in Frisco were closed down, and homes were evacuated Friday in light of a petroleum gas spill.


Authorities said development teams working nearby close to FM 423 and Eldorado Parkway incidentally cut a 6-inch gas line around 9 a.m.

Frisco firemen, a hazardous materials team, and utility laborers got to the scene before long; however, they are attempting to stop the gas line.

It might take them the entire evening to stop the line, authorities said.

Inhabitants who live in the Grayhawk region are being approached to empty as a safeguard. The homes influenced are between Eldorado Parkway, Swan Lake Drive, Cardinal Creek Drive, and Daimler Drive.

A sanctuary was set up for those families at Hope Fellowship West on Main Street.

FM 423 is additionally closed down in the two ways between Sunland Park Drive and Sunflower Drive. Eldorado Parkway is shut between Teel Parkway and Walker Lane.
