Fort Worth ISD's lone finalist for the Superintendent is supposed to sign an agreement Tuesday.
Legal administrators are holding a special executive meeting Tuesday evening to conclude Dr. Angelica Ramsey's employment. Once it is official, she will be the area's 21st administrator.
Dr. Ramsey comes from Midland ISD in West Texas. She just worked there for one year however was credited with turning the region around.
Before that, she worked for a school locale in California and was known for helping campuses show improvement.
It seems Fort Worth ISD has picked its new administrator. Dr. Angelica Ramsey is the locale's solitary finalist for the challenging task of serving almost 75,000 students and over 5,000 educators.
In a meeting with media, Ramsey said her initial phases in Fort Worth would be meetings with every one of the partners about what she thinks about three significant inquiries.
"The first question is, ‘What do we do well in Fort Worth ISD?’ ‘What do we need to change?’ is the second. And the third is what commitment can we have from that person or group or partnership organization to help us improve," she said.
She replaces Dr. Kent Scribner, who resigned the month before.
