According to reports from a top Jamaican public Health officer, Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt tests positive for COVID-19.
Tufton, the country's health minister, confirmed that Bolt officially announced
that he tested positive. The sprinter gave a statement and said that he gave
the test on Saturday, one day after he celebrated his 34th birthday.
Bolt said that "I'm trying to be responsible, so I'm going to stay in and stay
away from my friends,"
"I'm having no symptoms (but) am going to quarantine myself."
An 11-time world champion took retirement from sprinting after the 2017 World Championships. He has world records at 100 and 200 meters.
