DFW Airport authorities expect this Memorial Day weekend to be the most active in four years.

More than 1 million travelers are supposed to go through the air terminal on Friday and Tuesday.

The travel industry endured a significant shot during the pandemic.

However, by the late spring end, authorities anticipate more than 22 million individuals will fly in or out of the air terminal.

That would be a 7 percent expansion from summer travel in 2019.

In the meantime, gas costs are down more than $1 from this time the year before.

Media reported that the typical cost for a gallon of ordinary unleaded fuel in the Dallas-Fort Worth region is about $3.23.

Seven days prior, drivers in the metroplex were paying about $3.15 per gallon.
Last year, the cost was $4.33.
