A big shakeup in the DeSoto Independent School District pops up as the superintendent abruptly resigned from his services.
Though the school board has accepted Dr. D'Andre Weaver's resignation during an emergency meeting Sunday.
No exact reason for his resignation is apparent yet.
Weaver joined services about two years ago due to some previous superintendent's financial problems that led to a state investigation. The misconduct resulted in a $20 million deficit.
The Texas Education Agency recommended DeSoto ISD to replace under a state-appointed manager due to those problems. But no firm decision has been made by the Texas Education Commissioner yet.
