Dallas ISD is planning to add six weeks to the school calendar to cover up losses in the learning process.

The information came from the superintendent on Thursday when he said that students had suffered alarming setbacks as a result of switching to online learning.

According to Dr. Michael Hinojosa, schools were shut down in March due to an ongoing pandemic, and students suffered a drastic learning loss. He said, “If previously successful students lost a year, that is significant.”
