Vikram Khakhar, producer of Randeep Hooda's 2015 biopic on Charles Shobhraj, 'Main Aur Charles', has purchased the privileges to make a film on Shaheed Abdul Hamid. When media contacted Khakhar, he affirmed the news and said, "I have formally taken the freedoms for making a film on Shaheed Abdul Hamid. The authority declaration will be made soon with the subtleties of the cast and team."
Abdul Hamid was a fighter in the Indian Army, and he was granted the Param Vir Chakra for his commitments to the 1965 India-Pakistan war. Talking about finding the opportunity to tell the unbelievable saint's story, Khakhar said, "It is a subject of interest. Many want to chip away at the subject and endeavored to make a film on Shaheed Abdul Hamid at the Battle of Asal Uttar. Be that as it may, we should say it all regarding timing. Everything happens when it needs to occur."
Talking about Shaheed Abdul Hamid, Khakhar added, "I feel he's a significant legend of India's set of experiences and that his story should be presented before younger ages disregard him. The film is the ideal medium that can help restore his timeless story."
Previously, chief Chetan Anand made a TV series on Param Vir Chakra saints, and Naseeruddin Shah played Abdul Hamid in it. Likewise, there was a narrative on the Battle of Asal Uttar made by Discovery Channel and one more report of a movie to be coordinated by Shuja Ali of 'Baat Bann Gayi' acclaim. Ali needed Akshay Kumar to play Abdul Hamid in his film, yet not a lot occurred on that front tragically.
