
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is known for his generosity. The actor marked headlines for donating Rs.1 crore to cricketer Gautam Gambhir's NGO for Covid-19 relief work.
Gautam Gambhir took to Twitter and shared, "Each help in this melancholy comes like a beam of expectation. Much obliged, Akshay Kumar, for donating ₹ one crore to Gautam Gambhir Foundation for food, medications, and oxygen for the needy! God Bless."
Akshay Kumar replied and said, "These are tough times, Gautam Gambhir. Happy I could help. I wish we as a whole escape this emergency soon. Stay Safe."
On the personal front, Akshay Kumar was tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized for precautionary reasons. The actor was shooting for his upcoming film 'Ram Setu' in Mumbai when he got infected with the virus.
He took to his social media handle and shared, "I wish to inform everybody that I recently got positive for Covid-19." Following the results, he had isolated himself and assured himself to come back to work soon.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay will star in Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi', followed by 'Bachchan Pandey', 'Smash Setu,' 'Bell Bottom,' and 'Prithviraj'.
