Police officers are searching for the suspect in the fatal shooting of actor Eddie Hassell in North Texas that took place early Sunday morning.
The shooting took place around 2 a.m. in the 3000 block of West Bardin Road, near Highway 360 on the south side of Grand Prairie.
The media reported that Hassell was outside his girlfriend’s apartment when he was shot.
Police Officers found the 30-year-old wounded. He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead.
No information on the motive behind this shooting has been revealed so far. Officers reported that a car was taken from the scene and later recovered.
Hassell was born in Corsicana, and he had been landing acting roles since he was a teenager.
He was best known for his role in NBC’s sci-fi series “Surface,” as well as appearing in “Devious Maids” on the Lifetime Channel and in the Oscar-nominated film “The Kids Are Alright.”
No arrests have been made in the case.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for anyone leading to the arrest of the suspect.
