A Five-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra's Raigad district, several still trapped under debris.
According to reports, several people are trapped under the debris of a five-story building that collapsed on Monday afternoon. The police and rescue operators are working on the spot to bring people out of the debris.
This incident took place in the Kajalpur area of the district reason for the collapse was given by the authorities so far. The region is struggling with heavy rainfall for the past few days.

8.50 pm: Home Minister Amit Shah talked about the Raigad building collapse and tweeted, "The collapse of a building in Raigad, Maharashtra is very tragic. I have spoken to DG NDRF to provide all possible assistance; teams are on the way and will be assisting with the rescue operations as soon as possible and praying for everyone's safety".

8.22 pm: Officers created corridors for ambulances and heavy machinery to reach the spot on time.
8.18 pm: The building called Tariq Gardens in Mahad collapsed all of a sudden. NDRF team moved to the spot with all necessary CSSR equipment, canine squad etc to carry out their rescue operations.
8.15 pm: CMO of Maharashtra said, "CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray spoke to MLA Bharat Gogawale and Collector Nidhi Chaudhary to inquire about the building collapse in Mahad. He has assured them that all possible support will be extended for speedy rescue & relief works."
8.10 pm: Maharashtra minister Aditi S Tatkare confirmed this incident and said, "Three floors of a five-storey building collapsed in Mahad of Raigad district.15 people have been rescued.
