Volunteers Plant 300 Trees in Dallas for International Women’s Day

Adolfson & Peterson Construction, Tierra Energy Solutions, Woodwright Flooring Co., and the City of Dallas recently joined forces to mark International Women’s Day by planting 300 native trees in Crawford Park. This initiative aimed to underscore the significant contributions of women in environmental conservation efforts.

Women have historically led various endeavors to safeguard local biodiversity for future generations, serving as key figures in community leadership and grassroots activism. The City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department actively participated in the event, collaborating with volunteers to educate them on the proper techniques for tree planting.

This symbolic gesture not only added greenery to the park but also highlighted the essential role women play in promoting sustainability and preserving nature. Stay updated on local news, weather forecasts, and entertainment stories by subscribing to NBC DFW newsletters.
