Liquor stores will be closed on Christmas Day, New Year's Day in Texas

Want to buy some liquor for your Christmas Day, New Year Day? If yes, it is better to purchase liquor for your holiday season before Christmas Day or New Year Day as the shops will remain closed on both of these days.

According to the state law,  a ban has been put on selling liquor on these days in Texas. That means, there will be no shop selling liquor on 25th December so you can plan ahead and buy liquor on Dec. 21, 22 and 24 before you head over to your house for Christmas to enjoy your festival to the fullest.

Texas is one of the 25 other states of the country to ban the sale of liquor in stores on Christmas Day. Selling liquor on Christmas day was banned in 1967 and on New Year’s Day was banned in 1979,  as per Texas Liquor Control Act of 1935.
