Directed by Abhishek Kapoor 'Kedarnath' is one of the much-hyped films of this year that is set against the backdrop of the devastating 2013 Uttarakhand floods. The filmmakers use real footage of the disaster to depict the floods.

The film starring Sushant Singh Rajput and debutant star kid Sara Ali Khan will hit the screen on 7th December. The filmmaker has used the real footage of the floods taken by the media channels and the localities who went through that flood in Uttarakhand in 2013.

Instead of adding visual effects to present the scale of destruction, the filmmakers preferred to take the real-footage. This will create a real-like impact and help the audience to understand the severity of the situation.

The trailer of the film has created a lot of buzz. This film showcases the story of a girl who takes a pilgrimage to the Kedarnath Temple (Uttarakhand). There she meets a boy and fall in love with him who later becomes her guide.
