Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore starrer Aradhana to be screened at IFFI 2019 film festival in Goa

Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore-starrer Aradhana celebrated its 50 years this year. To memorize the milestone of the 1969 film, it will be screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Under the direction of Shakti Samanta, this film will be premiered under the segment called Golden Lining Indian Films at the film festival.
 
According to reports from a Trade analyst, Aradhana is not the only film but it is one of the films out of 11 films that have completed or will complete their 50 years in the Indian cinema. Most of the films are regional but Aradhana and Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Satyakam are the two representing Bollywood.
 

Interestingly, legendary actress Sharmila Tagore played the lead role in both the films Aradhana and Satyakam. The latter starred Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, and Ashok Kumar and hit the screen in 1969.
