Plano: Two Women facing capital murder charges for Plano couple killing

29-year old Cynthia Wingate and 23-year old Carmen Moreno has been charged with capital murder of 71-year old Theresa Coomes and 72-year old Jimmy Farris at their Collin Creek Apartments.
Two women were stopped by the deputies of sheriff near Waco Sunday night.

According to reports from the Police officer, women were asked to do a welfare check of the elderly couple when deputies of McLennan County stopped Wingate and Moreno driving a stolen car. They were containing ID’s of an elderly couples and their debit cards as well. Some drugs and a knife with blood all over it were also found from the car. One of the women was covered in blood.

Parnell McNamara, an officer at McLennan County reported that Wingate and Moreno created multiple stories about what happened with them. The police officer held both of them for theft and other charges until a new charge could be filed on them.
Further reports from the officers state that Wingate might have lived in the same apartment complex as the elderly couple. Her criminal history showed that she was arrested for theft and harassing a public servant.
Both women have been charged with capital murder and put in the McLennan County jail with a bond of $750,000 each.
