Dallas: Passengers waited in subfreezing temperature due to Overhead wire repairs of DART light rail system

  • By
Today morning, some of the passengers waited in subfreezing temperatures due to overhead wire repair of DART light rail system.

According to reports from sources, passengers may have to use shuttles to commute between stations due to overhead wire repairs near SMU/Mockingbird Station. After the temperature dropped to freezing, the transit agency has tackled this problem several times in this week. The cold wind negatively impacts the wiring system of the rail.

Any passenger taking the Orange Line will have to shift to the green one. Then they can use the shuttle buses between the Pearl/Arts District Station and Lovers Lane Station. Red Line users can continue with their travel.

People using Blue Line can follow their daily route and can use shuttle busses at White Rock Station.

More updates on DART light rail system repair work will be updated soon.
