Dallas: Greater Dallas Veterans Day parade happening today in Downtown

Greater Dallas Veterans Day parade Organizers hope to complete the parade before unpleasant weather takes over the city today.
This annual parade thanks Men and Women throughout the history of this nation who fought to bring freedom. The parade will start after 11 a.m. at Dallas City Hall in Downtown, Dallas.
This annual parade will have 124 entities – veterans’ groups, military equipment, 11 bands, floats, and many more features. The theme of 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion occurred in 1944.
Chairman Pat Teipel, a Vietnam era veteran said that miles of blood these veterans fought for our freedom to conquer Europe. Their sacrifice is amazing, they went through everything to live life and give freedom to the nation.

More than 20,000 to 30,000 people are expected to come for the parade. It will start from Union Station, head to north on Houston Street, east on Main Street and south on Ervay Street.
The ceremony at Dallas city hall will have a flyover by militants’ jets in the memory of missing man form and will display military vehicles at 9:30 a.m. 

People who are planning to come for the parade should carry a jacket as the temperature is expected to drop and will be in the 40s before noon.
