Arlington: Ravi Singh, Police officer who killed a woman while targetting a dog resigns

  • By
Arlington police officer who targeted a dog and shot and killed a woman has finally resigned from his job.

Yes, you heard it right! Ravi Singh’s case was under investigation with the Arlington PD. His resign from his job means that investigations have now ended and the case is now submitted to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.

The case was registered in August when Ravi Singh was called to the area near Canton Drive and North Collins Street for a routine welfare check. Someone has called reporting that a woman passed out in the grass. When he approached that woman, an aggressive dog started barking and ran toward him. When he was shooting him, he heard the woman screaming.

That woman was then identified as 30-year-old Margarita Brooks, the darling daughter of an Arlington fire captain.

The entire incident was recorded on Singh's body camera and that will be considered in the criminal investigation. A grand jury panel will decide if he will face any charges.
