Shoppers line up for Thanksgiving and pre-Black Friday deals

On Thanksgiving Day instead of taking the family on the dinner table, hundreds of shoppers spent the day standing in line to get door busters deal ranging from expensive ones like Canon Camera at $399.99 at Kohl's to Air Fryer at $4.99 at J.C. Penney. Tranquility 12-pound blanket at $59.99 at a Kohl's. Cooking Appliance remained a hit because the $4.99 air fryer sold out at J.C. Penney in Fairview within 20 minutes after the store opened around 2 p.m.

Walmart, Target and other giant retailers have allowed their workers throughout their stores to help customers check out items using their mobile devices. Macy's store allowed shoppers to scan and pay for items using their smartphones.

Target's mobile checkout program that is similar to Walmart’s program is helping shoppers get the items at ease. Target says that they have appointed four workers with the hand-held device to help customers buy TVs, video games and other devices hassle-free.

Several stores in North Texas opened up early for pre-Black Friday deals as well. Best Buy shoppers in Flower Mound started lining up before 5 p.m for the Black Friday deals. Lots of shoppers prefer shopping online instead of standing in line outside the store.
