1,000 families in Plano line up for sixth annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway and got a turkey with all other fixings.
This Friday was the sixth successive year for this event that wasn't open to the public. All the families had to register to get a free meal. It was basically to give families a reason to be thankful.

There were over 1,500 meals, 80 volunteers and a well-organized line of cars stretching across a mile through the St. Andrew United Methodist Church parking lot to the West Park Boulevard. The event was a full blessing one.

Terry Breedlove with The Storehouse of Collin County said that our Minister would give away the turkey and the fixings for the family so they can concentrate on bringing their family together and be thankful for what they have. The free meal included green beans, cranberry sauce, corn, carrots and, turkey.
Those families who registered for free meal say that the free Thanksgiving meal was a gift as wouldn't have been able to get them.
Friday event was an only opportunity for Thanksgiving. It wasn’t possible without the massive efforts of volunteers, folks from KCBI radio, and each family who registered for the meal.
