Top two candidates for Governor Republican Gov. Greg Abbott and Democratic Challenger Lupe Valdez will be in North Texas today.
Greg Abbott will come to Lewisville for speaking at a community center. After that, he will fly to Amarillo for attending an afternoon event. On the other hand, Lupe Valdez will visit Lutheran Church on Park Lane and speak to voters and cast her ballot in North Dallas.
Senator Ted Cruz cast his secret votes in northwest Houston yesterday. He encouraged Republicans to vote in order to defeat Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke.
Cruz is running three campaigns in South Texas today. Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah will join him in his campaign at Christian Fellowship Church in Harlingen. After that, they will talk to supporters in Mission and Laredo.

Democratic challenger O’Rourke also did a campaign in Houston yesterday. He was then joined by Houston Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee who is coming to campaign in Amarillo, Lubbock and Wichita Falls today.
The overall turnout of the voting has been very high especially in North Texas. More than 900,000 people cast their votes secretly in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties. This is just 25% of all of the registered voters.
The next election day will be on Nov. 6.
