DALLAS: Arlington teenager sentenced to 20 years in prison for recruiting a fellow American to join a Pakistani terror group

Arlington teenaged 18 was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he recruited a fellow American for a Pakistani terror group.

Michael Sewell was taken in arrest in February after he was found messaging two undercover agents who we're pretending to be terrorists.

After his arrest, he pleaded guilty and accepted his mistake of providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.

According to reports from Federal prosecutors, Sewell contacted a fellow United States citizen and asked him to join a terror group called Lashkar-e-Taiba or LeT.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Matthew J. DeSarno said that it is quite disheartening after 18 years of 9/11 attack, a natural-born American is hiring American citizen to join a foreign terrorist group.

20-years of a sentence to Michael Sewell proves that justice in this state can be a certain one.
