Sonakshi Sinha to play Deepa Malik who won a medal at the Paralympics in her upcoming biopic

Sonakshi Sinha is one of the most loved actresses of the tinsel town who had more flops than hits in the Industry. Her last film ‘Kalank’ failed to do well at the box office. Despite her miss, the actress manages to get big-budget films. The latest news for the fans is that the actress will be seen in a sports biopic soon.
 

According to the reports from the close sources, Sonakshi will be seen playing Deepa Malik, the first Indian women who won a medal at the Paralympics.
 
The actress of Kalank fame, met Deepa Malik, the Paralympics champion at an award show. She took to her Twitter handle with a caption, it is a fan-girl moment for her to meet Deepa.
 
She shared her picture and went on saying "Ma'am it was a fan moment for me!!! thank you for being you and radiating so much positivity! Truly an inspiration”.
 
It was then Deepa twitted "her fan-girl moment" with Sonakshi. Earlier. rumors around said that producer Ritesh Sidhwani and renowned actor Farhan Akhtar are planning to come up with the biopic of Deepa Malik.
 
Deepa Malik is the first Indian woman who won a medal at the Paralympics. She won a silver medal in the shot put at 2016 Paralympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Deepa was awarded Arjuna award in 2012 and the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2017.
 
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in ‘Dabangg 3’ and ‘Mission Mangal’.
