Ekta Kapoor issued a clarification over Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Mental Hai Kya' title

‘Mental Hai Kya’ starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao is one of the most anticipated films of the running year that the fans are eagerly waiting ever since the filmmaker announced the making of this film. Today, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor issued a clarification about the title of the film.
Ekta said that her upcoming film, ‘Mental Hai Kya’ is sensitive towards the mental health issues but her film title isn’t intended to hurt mentally-affected patients. The film producer issued her clarification via Twitter by sharing this disclaimer before announcing the release date of the trailer of this film.

Earlier, fans had raised allegations that this film intends to disrespect patients with mental health issues but Ekta answered everyone by sharing a motion movie poster wherein she clarified that her film doesn’t hurt sentiments attached to the mental health community. The film title doesn’t intend to hurt or disrespect anyone. In fact, her film is sensitive to mental illness.
The film starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao is a fictional thriller that encourages people to celebrate their uniqueness and embrace each other’s individuality.
Some psychiatrists and mental health experts criticized this film with their derogatory remarks and requested the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to change the title of the film.
The filmmakers issued the clarification denying the allegations. Now it is expected that the film will hit the screen on July 26.
