Dallas: Expected Large hail, destructive winds today in North Texas

  • By
North Texans are worried today after news of expected damaging storms went on rounds from yesterday itself. It is believed that DFW and the surrounding areas will be at “Enhanced Risk” of Hail, destructive thunderstorms, or severe weather after afternoon until Midnight.

Residents might see some scattered showers in the day. The biggest threat is expected to begin after 4 p.m.

According to weather reports today,  a line of storms is expected to develop west of the Metroplex between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The storms might bring tennis-ball-sized hail with destructive winds at speed of 70 miles per hour. Though the threat of a tornado is not there, the arrival of an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.

This destructive weather might stay overnight and last until Thursday morning. North Texas can breathe a sigh of relief after that. The other days of the week look sunny and pleasant. It seems that residents can enjoy Easter break after today.
