North Texas: Residents going to parks, trails for exercise warned to practice social distancing

  • By
The trending coronavirus has affected many people to such an extent that the Federal government has declared National Emergency and urged people to stay home due to a sudden outbreak of this deadly virus.

But people inside homes are getting crazier and going to North Texas trails and parks for exercise. These residents are being warned to practice social distancing while they are exercising.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins took to social media and tweeted in his post sending out a reminder to everyone after seeing that the trail at White Rock lake was crowded. In his tweet he wrote, "@whiterockloop is too crowded today! This is not safe social distancing. Social distancing means physical separation of 6ft. If your biking jogging are walking on a 12’ trail, breathing the droplets of hundreds of people going in the opposite direction you’re not being safe,"

Last week, a similar type of warning was issued from the Katy Trail wherein people were asked to move to other trails as the large gathering of people on the trail is not allowed while practicing social distancing.
