Rajinikanth's Kaala's release date delayed

  • By
Over a year, it has been seen that the film Industry in Tamil Nadu has not grown to a considerable extent. Some months back, most of the theatres that are successfully running in the state went on a strike to remove the dual taxation system. This system created a lot of mess and disturbed the smooth operations of the theaters in the state.
Now the situation is that no new Tamil film is released in the Tamil Nadu theatres.  Some days back, the council of producers protested against the exorbitant fee Virtual Print Fee (VPF) usually charged by the leading and local Digital Service Providers (DSP). To this, the producers’ council further announced that no new Tamil film will be released after 1st March if the VPF isn’t reduced by the DSPs.  Though the strike is put to an end but no new film is released.

This situation might impact the planned release date of Rajinikanth's Kaala, which was otherwise expected t hit the theaters on 27th April 27.
If the situation isn’t controlled before this date, the superstar film might get postponed.
