Dallas police officers have arrested a teenager for the drive-by shooting that killed a 79-year-old South Dallas woman.
No information on name or any description of the suspect has been released by the officers. He is a juvenile so he will be charged with murder and is being held in the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center.
The shooting incident took place on Halloween night when Gloria Roque was inside her home with her daughter when all of a sudden a bullet from someone passing in a vehicle came through the front wall and hit her.
According to reports from the family members, the gunshots came from a group of kids in the car who mistook Roque's home for someone they knew.
The 79-year old's son Keith Lee had been waiting months for the verdict and finally it came on Thursday. He described his mother as a talented pianist and a go-getter who loved being active in the Dallas community.
Lee said he felt relieved after learning about the charge and arrest of his mother’s killing.

There are still some questions that are left unanswered for Lee, like, who were group of kids looking for? What led them to shooting his mother?
Roque worked at the Dallas Times Herald and Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, and was completely involved in her community. One arrest in her murder has brought some sort of comfort to Lee. He thanked Dallas Police Department for their job. He is confident and trust officers that others will be caught soon.
