Wet and cold weather in Dallas is causing problems for drivers passing bridges and overpasses across North Texas.
So much freezing drizzle and cold mist have made bridges and overpasses slick. According to reports, drivers are warned not to use elevated surfaces mainly across Tarrant, Dallas, and Denton counties.
More than three dozen crashes have already been reported only in Fort Worth and thankfully, emergency crews in FW have immediately responded to the accidents including 46 injury crashes with 12 rollovers.

One of the fire trucks was sent out to block an escalated road at I-35W and I-20 in south FW after several drivers reported slicking spots there. Some areas have been closed due to the wet and cold weather. Areas including Eastbound I-30 ramp to I-35W, I-20 ramp to I-35W, southbound E. Loop ramp to eastbound I-30 and southbound Hwy, 360 ramps to eastbound I-20 are all closed now.
Texas Department of Transportation crews is playing their crucial part in pretreating some roads in Denton and Collin counties, Jack, Wise and Parker counties. But still, they didn’t expect this cold and such widespread road trouble.
Drivers today are advised to delay their trip or go via routes with no bridges and overpasses.
