Texas: Forest Hill female police officer shot stole her police unit. Suspect dead after chase

Early Wednesday Morning, A female police officer was shot in the Fort Worth suburb of Forest Hill.  That shooting incident started a police chase.
The shooting incident took place at 3 a.m. near a 7-Eleven convenience store along Interstate 20 and Forest Hill Drive in Forest Hill.
According to reports from the CLEAT Executive Director Charley Wilkinson, the suspect shot the female officer, stole her police unit and flew away from the scene.
The police chased the suspect and ended chase with a crash on Highway 287 near downtown Fort Worth.

Further reports from the officers state that the shooter is dead but no information on his her death has been given by the officers so far.
Wilkinson said in a statement that the female officer was shot in the forearm. Fort Worth Chief Ed Kraus talked to her before she went into surgery. Kraus said that she was doing better than before.
The Texas Rangers will take over this case and lead the investigation.
