Dallas: Police launch a new mentoring program with Big Brothers, Big Sisters

Dallas city and the local law enforcement are ready to develop young minds with a new mentorship program. Today, the program called Big in Blue was launched. Developed through a partnership between the city and Big Brothers, Big Sisters, officers are positive that this program will help young people and give them options of what they can be.
 
In this program, Students will get a chance to get paired with a police officer or a government official as a mentor.
 

The Dallas city believes that this program will give Dallas young people a stronger sense of citizenship and understanding of government.
 
Jamila Thomas-senior vice president of corporate and community engagement at ‘Big Brothers, Big Sisters’ stated that this program would guide young people for the possibilities of what they can be. What else can be a better way for 2020 than Partnering with civic organizations as he firmly believes that during this election year, the young people will be exposed to democracy and that too in the most creative way?
