According to deputies of Dallas County sheriff, 45-year-old Julie Brewer was taken into custody yesterday afternoon. She was charged with behaving inappropriately with a minor after detectives found her exchanging inappropriate text and MMS with a student. The teacher of the school has resigned and she was reported to the State Board of Educator Certification by the state.

The district explained to parents that sending private messages to students inappropriately is a prohibited act. All social media interactions need to be public or through the official app set up by the district, district e-mail account or phone.
The principal of the school, Dr. Emily Froese said in her part that she and her team are extremely disappointed by such a kind of behavior in her premises.
