ACU Dallas Expands with Three New Colleges to Meet Growing Enrollment

ACU Dallas has launched three new colleges: the College of Learning and Development, the College of Health and Human Services, and the College of Leadership and Professional Studies. This expansion, starting in August, supports the institution’s growth and its increasing student body.

Dr. Stephen Johnson, CEO of ACU Dallas, shared that the campus has consistently increased enrollment over the years. “For the past seven years, ACU has set record enrollment numbers,” Johnson said.

The new colleges, planned last year, will have full-time deans appointed within the next month, following the appointment of interim deans.

ACU Dallas began in 2015 with only the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. The new colleges will now offer a broader range of programs. The College of Learning and Development will focus on careers in education. The College of Health and Human Services will feature programs in nursing, applied health, marriage and family therapy, communication disorders, and exercise science. The College of Leadership and Professional Studies will offer programs in organizational leadership, business, information technology, healthcare administration, and sports leadership.

The expansion meets the needs of working adults, mainly in their 30s, who seek career advancement through flexible online programs. By adding these new colleges, ACU Dallas enhances its ability to provide diverse and accessible educational opportunities.

This expansion represents a significant milestone for ACU Dallas, reflecting its commitment to addressing the evolving needs of its students and supporting their professional growth.
