Rajkummar Rao Turns Gangster in the Gritty Trailer of Maalik

The trailer of Maalik is out, and Rajkummar Rao steals the spotlight in a gritty, gangster avatar we’ve never seen before. Playing a cold-blooded and unpredictable criminal, Rajkummar transforms himself completely—both in look and energy—bringing raw intensity to the role.

This marks Rajkummar’s first full-fledged lead role as a gangster. His rugged appearance, authentic dialogue delivery, and gripping action scenes have already caught fans’ attention. Many are praising his natural transition into this dark, complex character.

Manushi Chhillar plays the female lead, portraying a key character who is not just a love interest, but an integral part of the plot. Bengali cinema veteran Prosenjit Chatterjee faces off against Rajkummar, adding layers to the power struggle at the film’s core.

Saurabh Shukla, known for iconic roles like Kallu Mama in Satya, plays the antagonist with his trademark intensity. Saurabh Sachdeva makes a brief yet powerful appearance in a fierce fight sequence, adding more punch to the ensemble. Known for Animal, Bambai Meri Jaan, and Sacred Games, Sachdeva brings edge to every frame he’s in.

Maalik also marks the directorial debut of Pulkit, who expressed his excitement about working with such a dynamic cast. Each actor, he says, brings something unique to this high-octane narrative.
